Upcoming Field Trip!

FIELD TRIP!

On October 10th, fifth grade will be going on a field trip to the

Natural History Museum
We will be taking a class about inherited traits, DNA and genetics.

This will be an interesting and fun experience!
We will be leaving in the morning and return in the afternoon.
Permission slips need to be returned by September 27th!

Reminders from the school...

Here are a few reminders and notes from Jefferson Academy:

Lunch Balances
Lunch balance notices will come home each week. We appreciate timely payments for negative lunch balances. If you think you might qualify for free or reduced lunch, fill out an application online in your Aspire account, or talk to the office if you have questions.

Colder Weather
Our weather is cooling down some. Just a reminder to look at our student dress code policy for outwear allowed in the classroom. Students are welcome to wear any outwear outside. However, if they wear it in the classroom setting, it will need to comply with dress code policy.

Emergency Drills
The law and legislation for schools regarding Emergency Preparedness has changed in an effort to help schools be more prepared for emergency situations. Jefferson Academy takes emergency preparedness seriously and will follow all the state policies regarding this. Part of this will be monthly emergency drills practicing various scenarios. We do this to comply with the law and to help teach our students how to feel and be safe.
