Monday, May 4th

Hey everyone!

Here’s just a few quick details :
    • Packet pick and return, Monday the 4th
      • A-L  9:30-12:00
      • M-Z  12:30-3:00
    • Next packet pick up and return will be in two weeks, on May 18th
    • The packets being picked up on the 18th will only be for one week.  When the final packet is returned (on the 26th), students will pick up an end of year bag 

The following two weeks of curriculum will follow very closely to the schedule we have been keeping.  Reading Zooms on Tuesday, math Zoom on Thursday, and daily assignments (both emailed and posted on our blog).  As always, please reach out to your teachers if you have any questions.

·      Read over the lesson and/or watch the YouTube video.
·      Complete the Power-Up.  If you are struggling with problem solving, move on and save it to do after the lesson.

·      Written Practice: 1 through 11
·      Imagine Learning Math: 15 minutes

Unit 6, Week 4
“The Hindenburg”
Bacoch:
·      Quotations and Quotation Marks pg. 421
·      Begin vocabulary and spelling

·      Read the story “The Hindenburg.  You may also listen and follow along with the story
·      Answer critical thinking questions
Purdie:

Writing:
Prompt:  Think of some of your favorite activities, hobbies, or interests.  Write a five-paragraph essay on your three favorite activities, hobbies, or interests.
·      Brainstorm:  Make a list of some of your favorite activities, hobbies, or interests.  Choose three to write about.

Science:
Food Webs
This activity is for the entire week. Complete this activity at your own pace. Follow the directions on the activity. You will complete the “chow time” simulation by pretending to be different animals in a food web. Then you will come up with a game to teach younger students about food webs.

History:
·      Read A House Divided passage and answer the questions associated with it (you have today and tomorrow)
