headland:  a point of very high land that juts out into water

kelp:  a kind of large, brown seaweed

lair:  the place where a wild animal lives

ravine:  a small, narrow valley with steep sides

shellfish:  an animal that has a shell and lives in the water

sinew:  a tough cord that connects muscles to bone
